The Feel

Being able to feel every inch of the wood enables the artisan touch to come through. The artisan cannot feel the wood through the vibration of a power tool, so it becomes essential to work the wood by hand to achieve the finished result. No machine can do it better.

An Artisan's Passion

"There are things in life that make us happy and there are things in life that make us sad. When we find those things that make us happy, it is necessary to immerse ourselves in them. When we find those things that make us sad, we should recognize that they are a part of life, but that they are not necessary to our being. We should have great passion for those things that are necessary and pay little attention to those things that are not." - Gerald L. Leuschen

Wood has been used since the dawn of mankind as a means to manipulate our environment through tools, shelter and warmth. As we learned new technologies allowing us to shape wood into various forms, we unleashed our abilities and journeyed to new horizons. We have come to recognize the beauty and natural ambience that wood brings into our lives and have expressed our appreciation through the use of wood in furniture, embellishments, decoration, various vessels and construction.

The Look

The artisan takes the time to examine every piece of wood that goes in to the work. This ensures an even appearance with no unpleasant surprises when finished.

The Experience

When the final work is complete, you feel like the wood is still alive and has undergone a metamorphosis. The artisan has expressed himself successfully.
